Jill’s groundbreaking and unique Advanced Stand-Up Comedy Workshop is currently based at the excellent Upstairs at Three and Ten, Brighton: multi award winning venue and home to the Brighton Comedy Fringe.
Once you have completed Jill’s foundation stand-up course at Komedia you can join this ongoing termly Monday night workshop to get the support, guidance, gigs and contacts you need to carve out a career in comedy.
You will be encouraged and supported to progress through each term at your own pace until you find your feet on the comedy circuit. You will gain access to a vast network of workshop graduates working in all areas of the comedy business, including running comedy clubs in Brighton, London and nationally.
Once you graduate from this workshop you will have an invaluable network and Jill’s wealth of experience, advice and support if and when you need it.
“The mark of a good teacher is how they tailor their methods to meet the needs of each individual student. Jill understands that there are as many different kinds of comedian as there are kinds of people, so doesn’t apply a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching, but a detailed and individual schooling. And the change she brings about in her students has to be seen to be believed. Of course comedy is an elusive and imprecise science, but Jill offers techniques and exercises that can develop the fledgling comic’s talent or refine even the most experienced comedian’s material. It’s a great experience and I can’t recommend it enough.”
